About

Paws in Small Places (pawsinsmallplaces.com)

Pet life in small spaces, made easier.

That’s what this site is here for.

If you’ve ever wondered how to keep your pets happy, healthy, and enriched while living in an apartment, condo, or smaller home, without making your entire space revolve around pet supplies, you’re in the right place.

What Paws in Small Places Is

Paws in Small Places is a resource for dog and cat owners who live in apartments, condos, and smaller homes.

It’s for people who have chosen to share their space with a pet and are figuring out how to make that work well.

You’ll find practical guides on making the most of your square footage, creating pet-friendly routines, providing exercise and enrichment, managing behavior in close quarters, and supporting your pet’s overall well-being when space is limited.

Whether you have a dog, a cat, or both, the goal is simple: help you create a home that works for everyone living in it.

Who’s Behind It

Hi, I’m Kadie, the creator behind Paws in Small Places.

I started this website because I kept running into the same problem: a lot of pet advice assumes you have a backyard, a large house, or unlimited time.

Real-world advice for pet owners in smaller spaces often feels scattered, vague, or buried under a lot of noise.

I wanted to create one place with calm, practical, and honest information.

Not a blog that screams at you with ten hacks for this and five tips for that. Just useful guidance created with small-space pet owners in mind.

What You’ll Find Here

The site is organized into four main areas:

Space and Setup — Ways to create a home that works for both you and your pet, including furniture ideas, layouts, organization, and pet gear that may be worth considering.

Exercise and Enrichment — Ideas for keeping dogs and cats physically active and mentally stimulated, even without a yard or extra rooms.

Training and Behavior — Practical approaches for building routines, managing noise, encouraging good habits, and navigating the challenges that can come with living in close quarters.

Pet Wellness — Everyday wellness topics, basic care information, and habits that support your pet’s long-term well-being.
